Beth by PleasePray — SMS Notifications
Prayer notifications, milestone alerts, and gentle reminders from Beth — the AI prayer assistant for your Prayer Circles.
What you'll receive
- Prayer milestone notifications — alerts when your Prayer Circle reaches meaningful prayer counts (100, 500, 1,000 prayers, etc.).
- Gentle engagement reminders — occasional nudges from Beth to keep your prayer intention alive.
- Community updates — notifications when supporters leave comments, light a candle, or submit prayer requests on your Prayer Circle.
Notifying a family member or friend
When you add a prayer intention, you can ask Beth to let a family member or friend know you are praying for them. You enter that person's name and phone number and confirm you have their permission to be texted.
- That person receives a short invitation text letting them know you prayed for them, with a link to view it or start their own prayer list.
- Each time you pray for them again, they may receive an occasional "someone prayed for you" reminder — sent at most once per day.
- They can reply STOP at any time to stop the messages, and they never need a PleasePray account.

How to opt in
Sign up at PleasePray, create a Prayer Circle, and opt in via the consent modal that appears. You'll enter your phone number, read the disclosure, actively check the consent checkbox, and verify your number with a one-time code sent by SMS.
Consent disclosure
The exact consent disclosure shown to users when opting in is:
"By providing your number, you agree to receive messages from Beth by PleasePray. Up to 4 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
Message frequency
Up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message from Beth at any time to opt out of all further messages. You can also turn messaging off in your account settings.
